Iddy biddy fish in an iddy biddy pool

For the past year I have been writing the weekly column Enough Said for the Shoreline Times in Connecticut. I have enjoyed this writing-gig and as the year went on and I started to build a small but loyal fan base I began billing myself as a minnow in a mud puddle.  I like the idea of being a little fish in a little pond, I’m comfortable here, it feels right.

Well, this minnow has wriggled her way up stream to a bigger body of water. It’s not a lake...yet, but it is one of those deep clear pools with overhanging ledges and dark water.  It’s scary in this pool because I haven’t had a chance to splash around yet. In three weeks I will.

My ‘Enough Said’ column will be appearing in eight newspapers reaching 100,000 households. A hundred grand may not seem like many to some but to minnow-me it’s like snorkeling in a great lake. I’ll post a link when the first column breaks.

How big is your pond and how deep is your water?

  3. Hey, one question too. How did you get the subscribe by email link to show up at the bottom...it allows replies to comments to be emailed to person posting.

Or, even better, if there is a box on blogger that allows for all further comments to be sent to the person's email. I've gone through everything on the dashboard and can't find something that looks like it.

    1. Well Jennine I'm not sure. Actually I'm not even sure what you are asking about. When I set up this blog and fiddled around with stuff it, meaning the 'subscribe by email' link showed up and either ended up there by happy-mistake or my daughter did something I don't know about because for about a minute or so she helped me.
If I backtrack...to settings, than mobile email, then comment notification email, my personal email address is entered, so I get notified every time someone comments, including me.
If that's what you are asking about I hope this helps. Sometimes I feel like such a dweeb. Do kids still use the word dweeb?

    2. No I don't think they use dweeb any more! Lol

I was looking for the way that other people leaving comments on my posts can receive replies or other people's comments in their email. (I get them all in mine.) It's usually a box you can check, but on your blog it's a link I can click.
